Cool July Across Illinois and the Midwest

I’ve heard from some friends frustrated because their tomatoes are so slow in developing. The weather is likely a contributing factor for these and other heat-loving plants. On the other hand, it’s a good year so far to get extended harvest on cool-loving crops. Once again, a good reason to plant considerable variety to hedge bets, since the only certainty is that the weather is unpredictable!
