2012 Harvest: April-September

A Fall Morning Harvest

A joy of fall is looking back at the past year’s bounty.  And while the garden is still producing, we just couldn’t wait any longer to sum things up.  The total …

     198 pounds, 2 ounces

  • Peas … 2 lb, 10 oz
  • Swiss Chard … 20 lb, 0 oz
  • Asparagus … 14 oz
  • Spinach … 8 lb, 1 oz
  • Lettuce … 17 lb, 12 oz
  • Turnips … 8 lb, 15 oz
  • Corn Mache … 0 lb, 7 oz
  • Potatoes … 36 lb, 9 oz
  • Radishes … 0 lb, 14 oz
  • Radish Pods … 0 lb, 2 oz
  • Scallions … 0 lb, 2 oz
  • Garlic … 1 lb, 8 oz
  • Tomatoes … 55 lb, 10 oz
  • Squash … 27 lb, 10 oz
  • Beans … 4 lb, 8 oz
  • Strawberries … 4 lb, 7 oz
  • Corn … 2 ears
  • Soybeans … 3 lb, 10 oz
  • Carrots …. 1 lb, 13 oz
  • Kale … 0 lb, 4 oz
  • Leeks … 1 lb, 12 oz

It should be noted that: 1) we forgot to weigh items occasionally (and never weighed the peppers for some reason); and 2) occasionally we read the gram instead of pound/ounce figures on the scale.  Together, then, this represents a conservative estimate.
